White Iphone 4

I bought this case for my new white iphone 4. Let me start by saying I also have the Otterbox Defender for travel and times where I may need the added protection. However, I think the best aesthetic features of the Iphone 4 are lost to bulky silicone cases. And if you are going to buy the white iphone 4, why cover it all up? Just my opinion. So back to the casemate case.

This case is just as the name implies... barely there. It manages to keep the sleek, slim design of the iphone 4 and show off the white color of my phone. Both the top strip (power button area/ headset plug in area) and bottom strip (charging area and speakers) are left completely unprotected. The case is essentially the same thickness as the phone and does not come up much higher than the screen offering little protection there as well. I have not dropped my phone yet but imagine that it would not hold up well with this case.

The backing is also rather smooth and may slip out of your hands, though this has not happened to me. However, after tirelessly searching reviews for the perfect case that would not only showcase the beauty of the iphone 4 but also offer protection from high impact falls... I gave up. I ended up with 2 cases and I love this casemate because it does not add any bulk and allows me to show off my white iphone 4. Until the perfect case appears my 2 cases will do.
